Moving in and checking in
- Check-in
- From 15:00. You receive a personal door code and room key by text message the day before you arrive.
- Late arrival
- Arriving after 22:00? Let us know and we will sort it out.
- Check-out
- By 10:00 for short stays. Need to leave your bags for a while? No problem — just tell us when you arrive.
- Reception
- There is no staffed 24-hour reception. You can reach us by phone throughout your stay.
In the room
- Furniture
- The bed, desk and chair are already in place, so you can move straight in.
- Bed linen and towel
- Available as an extra for SEK 200 when you book by the night.
- TV and wifi
- TV with basic channels in the room. Wifi throughout the building, with no fiddly login.
- Key
- Every room locks with its own key, and the front door has a code lock.
Kitchen and shared spaces
- The kitchen
- Each corridor has a kitchen with a hob, oven, microwave, kettle and dining area. Crockery and pans are provided.
- Your own fridge
- Every room has its own lockable fridge and its own cupboard for food and crockery.
- Shower and toilet
- Two showers and two toilets per corridor, shared by four to six rooms.
- Lounge and entrance hall
- Seating in the entrance hall where you can meet others without disturbing the corridor.
House rules
- Quiet hours
- Quiet in the building between 22:00 and 07:00. Many people here study or start early.
- Smoking
- The whole property is non-smoking. Smoking is allowed outdoors in the designated area.
- Shared spaces
- The kitchen and bathrooms are shared by the whole corridor. Wash up after yourself and leave them as you would like to find them.
- Damage
- The person who books is responsible for the room during the stay. For group bookings, that is the contact person.
Payment and terms
- Longer stays
- Get in touch and we will explain what applies when you rent by the month.
- Invoice
- Clubs and companies can receive a single invoice. Include your organisation number in the booking.
- Confirmation
- Your booking is valid once you have received written confirmation from us.
- Cancellation
- Contact us as soon as you know — especially for group bookings.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a room per month?
A furnished corridor room costs SEK 3,500 a month. You share the kitchen, showers and toilets with the other rooms in the corridor.
How far is it to Linnaeus University?
1.1 km — about a 14-minute walk or four minutes by bike.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes. Willys Teleborg is 250 metres away, ICA Kvantum Teleborg an eight-minute walk and Lidl twelve.
What is in the room?
A bed, desk, chair and TV. In the corridor kitchen you also get your own lockable fridge and your own cupboard.
Do the rooms have a private bathroom?
No. Each corridor has two showers and two toilets shared by four to six rooms.
How do I get to the city centre?
The centre is 2.9 km away — eleven minutes by bike or six by car. The city bus towards Teleborg and the university stops nearby.
Can I stay for just a few nights?
Yes. Rooms can also be booked by the night, for SEK 950. Bed linen and a towel are available as an extra for SEK 200.
Does parking cost anything?
No. Parking outside the entrance is free and needs neither a ticket nor an app. There is also a locked bicycle store.
Can a whole group stay together?
Yes. We rent out whole corridors with their own kitchen and showers to teams, clubs and groups. Get in touch and we will put together a plan and a single invoice.
Weren’t you called Skäraton?
The building is still called Skäraton and has the same owners. The accommodation inside it is now called Wälluddens Studentbostäder.
